Jacqueline Tolken - Vocals | Songwriter
A versatile vocalist and songwriter, known for her powerful and tender voice reminiscent of Adele and Amy Winehouse. A finalist on The Voice South Africa, she has captivated audiences across Europe and South Africa with her blend of soul, jazz, blues, and pop. In addition to her solo career, she forms half of the acoustic duo Jack and June with her husband, Werner van der Hoven, gaining national radio play and a growing fan base. Her debut EP, "7 Years of Bad Luck," alongside her work with Jack and June, highlights her emotional depth and musical originality within The Jacqueline Tolken Trio.

Vernon Steer – Trumpet | Melodic Soul
With over 50 years in the South African music scene, Vernon Steer brings a lifetime of experience and warmth to the trio’s sound. His smooth, expressive trumpet lines add richness and subtle jazz flair, enhancing the group’s emotive, easy-listening style. A former music director and seasoned jazz performer, Vernon has graced stages from the Artscape Theatre to live national television, and now lends his soulful playing to The Jacqueline Tolken Trio’s signature sound.
